Always Learning

Making a short film is similar to babysitting, while making a feature length film is like having a child of your own.

The former is a benign short term commitment. The latter requires the long term commitment of bringing a soul into this world and taking full responsibility for everything that it is.

Every problem your film has makes you wonder if it was your fault, it was doomed from the start, maybe it wasn’t the right time…Maybe you’re overreacting. But then, you look at your film as a whole, all of its unique beauty and grace shines through and you can’t help but smile and think to yourself “that’s because it’s my film, my blood, my soul” and you get lost in your euphoria and astonishment.

However, one thing that you eventually realize is that all of this stress and euphoria you feel from your film is a sign that you love your film and indirectly, you love yourself, because this film you.

And like children, films aren’t made by just one person.

For people who are working on Always Learning, this is your movie. So let’s make it the best damn movie we’ve ever seen.

I always say that I’ve been in a bad mood for maybe 35 years now. I try to lighten it up, but that’s what comes out when you get me on camera.

I have no idea how this works

I feel like I should have a solid comprehension of tumblr since most people my age do, but I don’t.

Here’s to my learning!
